How good do you think your memory is?

I’d say my memory is fairly reliable, especially when it comes to things I’m interested in. For example, I can easily recall details from my university courses or conversations with close friends. That said, I do tend to forget small, routine things like where I put my keys.

Do you usually remember things easily, or do you forget them quickly?

It depends on the situation. If something is meaningful or engaging, I tend to remember it quite well. But if it’s something repetitive or not very interesting, I might forget it unless I make a conscious effort to keep it in mind.

What kinds of things do you find hardest to remember?

I struggle most with remembering names, especially when I meet several new people at once. I also find it difficult to memorize random numbers or dates unless they’re connected to something important.

Do you ever write things down to help you remember?

Yeah, all the time. I usually keep a notes app on my phone where I jot down assignments, deadlines, or even small tasks. Writing things down helps me organize my thoughts and makes me less likely to forget something important.

Have you ever forgotten something important? What happened?

Yes, unfortunately. Once I completely forgot about a group meeting for a project, and my teammates had to start without me. I felt really bad about it, so after that, I started setting reminders on my phone to avoid the same mistake.

Are you good at remembering people’s names?

Not really, to be honest. I often remember faces but forget names, especially if I’ve only met the person once. I’ve been trying to improve by repeating their name during the conversation, which actually helps a bit.

Do you prefer to remember things by heart or by using technology?

I think I rely more on technology these days. Apps and reminders are just more efficient, especially with a busy university schedule. But for important concepts or skills, I still prefer to learn them by heart so I truly understand them.

Has your memory changed compared to when you were younger?

I think it has changed in the sense that I’m more selective now. When I was younger, I used to memorize things more mechanically, like for exams. Now I focus more on understanding, which actually helps me remember things in a deeper way.

What do you do to improve your memory?

I try to stay organized and keep a routine, which makes it easier to remember things. I also review my notes regularly and sometimes use techniques like associating new information with something I already know.

Do you think having a good memory is important in daily life?

Definitely. A good memory makes everyday tasks much easier, from keeping track of responsibilities to maintaining relationships. It also helps academically, since being able to recall information quickly can save a lot of time and effort.

How good do you think your memory is?

I’d say it’s pretty average. I’m quite good at remembering faces or stories people tell me, but I’m terrible with small details. For example, I’m always misplacing my phone or forgetting where I parked my car, which can be a bit frustrating.

Do you usually remember things easily, or do you forget them quickly?

It depends on whether I’m interested in the topic. If it’s something I care about, like a new hobby, I’ll remember every detail. But if it’s just a random fact or a chore someone asked me to do, it often goes in one ear and out the other.

What kinds of things do you find hardest to remember?

Definitely passwords and dates. I have so many different accounts for work and social media that I can never keep the login details straight. I also struggle with historical dates—they just don’t seem to stay in my head for very long.

Do you ever write things down to help you remember?

All the time. I actually keep a running to-do list on my phone because I know I’ll forget half of my errands if I don’t. I also like using physical post-it notes around my desk for urgent tasks; it just makes me feel a bit more organized.

Have you ever forgotten something important? What happened?

Actually, yes. I once forgot a doctor’s appointment that I’d waited weeks for. I just completely lost track of the days and realized it two hours after the time had passed. I had to pay a cancellation fee and wait another month to get back in, so I learned my lesson.

Are you good at remembering people’s names?

Not really, no. I’m much better with faces. I can see someone and know exactly where I met them, but their name will be on the tip of my tongue for ages. It’s a bit embarrassing, so I usually try to use general greetings until I can double-check who they are.

Do you prefer to remember things by heart or by using technology?

I definitely rely on technology more. I know some people think it’s better to train your brain, but my phone is just so much more reliable. Having everything synced in my calendar saves me a lot of stress, even if it means I’m not memorizing as much as I used to.

Has your memory changed compared to when you were younger?

I think it was better when I was in school. Back then, I was used to memorizing facts and figures every day for tests. Now that I’ve been working for a few years, I feel like my brain is a bit more “full,” and I have to be more selective about what I try to remember.

What do you do to improve your memory?

I try to get enough sleep, mostly. I’ve noticed that if I’m tired, I can’t remember even the simplest things. I also try to do crosswords or read books rather than just scrolling through social media, just to keep my mind a bit sharper.

Do you think having a good memory is important in daily life?

I do, yeah. It just makes life run a lot more smoothly. If you can remember names, directions, and your schedule, you’re much less stressed and more productive. Plus, it’s nice to be able to look back and remember good times with friends in detail.
