Bilibili: 雅思口语Part 2 – Describe a place with a lot of trees that you would like to visit_哔哩哔哩_bilibili
Speaker: Joseph
A place with a lot of trees that I would really like to visit is a large forest park located not far from my hometown, about an hour away by car. It’s a place I’ve heard a lot about from friends, but I haven’t had the chance to explore it properly yet.
The park is covered with a wide variety of trees, mainly tall pine trees and some oak trees, which make the whole area look very green and peaceful. Because the trees are quite dense, they provide plenty of shade, and the atmosphere there feels cool and refreshing, especially compared to the busy city. There are also small paths running through the forest, as well as a few open areas where people can sit and relax.
If I visited this place, I would probably spend most of my time walking slowly along the trails, enjoying the scenery and taking photos. I’d also like to go there with close friends or family members, have a picnic, and simply enjoy being together without feeling rushed. It seems like the kind of place where you can forget about daily responsibilities and focus on the moment.
The main reason I would like to visit this forest park is that I find being surrounded by trees extremely calming. My daily life is usually quite busy and stressful, so I feel that spending time in nature would help me clear my mind and recharge mentally. Overall, I think visiting a place like this would be a simple but meaningful experience, and it’s definitely somewhere I’d like to go when I need a break from city life.

To be honest, I’ve always been more of a city person, but recently I’ve been feeling the need to take a break from screens and just slow down a bit. There’s a forest not too far from where I live, about three hours to the north, and it’s kind of hidden away in a high-altitude valley that’s known for having a lot of old trees.
The place is really beautiful, but in a quiet, natural way rather than anything dramatic. It’s mostly made up of tall conifer trees and some ancient oak trees that have been there for a very long time. Because the air there is cool and slightly damp, a lot of the tree trunks are covered in moss, and the forest feels very green and fresh. The trees are quite close together, so not much sunlight gets through, which makes the whole area feel calm and peaceful.
As for what people do there, most visitors go for long walks or head out on hikes, especially along the forest trails. Some people also head there just to unwind, decompress, or get away from the hustle and bustle of their digital lives. There are crystal-clear streams running through the forest, and people often sit nearby to listen to the water, or snap a few photos if they’re into nature photography.
I really want to visit this place because my life has been quite busy lately, and I sometimes feel mentally exhausted. I think being somewhere quiet, surrounded by trees, would help me relax and feel more balanced again. Overall, it seems like the perfect place to switch off for a while and come back feeling refreshed.
