What do you usually do on weekends?

On weekends, I usually try to strike a balance between resting and staying productive. I normally sleep in a little because my weekdays are pretty hectic with classes and assignments. After that, I’ll either meet up with friends, hit the gym, or spend some time catching up on my coursework. In the evenings, I like to just unwind by watching a movie or playing some video games.

Do you prefer relaxing at home or going out on weekends? Why?

I’d say I prefer a mix of both, but if I had to choose, I’d probably lean toward staying at home. University life can be pretty exhausting, so sometimes I just need a quiet weekend to recharge. That said, I still enjoy heading out for a coffee or dinner with friends because it helps me clear my head and stay in the loop with everyone.

How are your weekends different from your weekdays?

They’re completely different, to be honest. During the week, my schedule is packed with lectures and deadlines, so I’m always on a tight timeline. On weekends, everything feels much more relaxed. I can wake up later, spend time on my hobbies, and do things at my own pace instead of feeling rushed all day.

Did you enjoy weekends more when you were a child?

Definitely. When I was a kid, weekends felt more exciting because I didn’t have any real pressure or responsibilities. I used to spend most of my time playing outside, watching cartoons, or visiting relatives. Now, even on weekends, I still have assignments and upcoming exams on my mind, so it’s a bit harder to fully switch off.

What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?

My ideal weekend would involve hanging out with close friends during the day and having a quiet evening afterward. I really enjoy simple things like trying new restaurants, getting some fresh air in the city, or just wandering around. I’m not a fan of overly busy weekends because I really need that downtime before the new week kicks off.

Do you often spend weekends with friends or family?

Mostly with friends, since I’m living near the university and my family is back in my hometown. We usually just grab a bite to eat or study together in a cafe. However, I still make sure to call my parents regularly, and whenever I go back home for a visit, I try to spend the entire weekend with them.

Are weekends important to you? Why or why not?

Yes, absolutely. Weekends are essential because they give me a much-needed break from the stress of uni. If I studied nonstop without resting, I’d probably burn out pretty quickly. I think they’re important not just for physical rest, but for keeping a healthy work-life balance.

Have your weekend activities changed in recent years?

Yes, quite a bit actually. In high school, I mostly spent my weekends gaming or just hanging out casually. Since starting university, my weekends have become a lot more structured because I have to factor in study time, internships, or personal projects. I still make time for fun, but I’ve had to become more responsible with my time.

Do you think two days are enough for a weekend?

Honestly, not really. Two days go by incredibly fast, especially when you’re a student. Usually, Saturday is spent recovering from the week, and Sunday is spent prepping for Monday. A three-day weekend would be ideal, but I guess two days are manageable if you plan things out properly.

What are you planning to do next weekend?

Next weekend, I’ll likely spend some time prepping for a presentation since midterms are just around the corner. Aside from that, I’m planning to meet a couple of friends for dinner since we haven’t caught up in a while. If I have some free time, I’d also like to get a workout in and maybe catch a match online.

What do you usually do on weekends?

It’s a bit of a mix, really. Saturdays are usually my “out and about” days where I’ll meet up with friends or wander around the city. Sundays, though, are pretty low-key. I tend to just potter around the house, do a bit of cleaning, and basically just gear up for the week ahead.

Do you prefer relaxing at home or going out on weekends? Why?

To be honest, it depends on how wiped out I am. If work’s been a nightmare, I’m more than happy to just veg out on the sofa with a movie. But usually, by the time Saturday rolls around, I’ve got a bit of cabin fever and I’m itching to get out and grab a coffee or see people.

How are your weekends different from your weekdays?

The main thing is the lack of an alarm clock! My weekdays are so regimented—everything feels really scheduled. On the weekend, I love the fact that I can just wake up whenever and decide what to do on the fly. It’s that sense of freedom that makes the difference.

Did you enjoy weekends more when you were a child?

Probably, yeah! Back then, weekends felt like they lasted forever because I didn’t have a care in the world. Nowadays, even when I’m relaxing, I’ve always got that little voice in the back of my head reminding me about emails or chores I need to do.

What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?

I’d say a road trip. There’s nothing better than just packing a bag, putting on a good playlist, and heading somewhere coastal. Just getting away from the city noise for forty-eight hours is the best way to recharge.

Do you often spend weekends with friends or family?

I try to get a bit of both in. I usually see my friends on Friday or Saturday nights—you know, go for dinner or a drink. But Sundays are almost always for family. We usually do a big lunch together, which is a nice way to stay connected.

Are weekends important to you? Why or why not?

Oh, 100%. If I didn’t have that break, I’d probably burn out pretty quickly. Everyone needs a bit of downtime to just switch off their “work brain” and be a human for a bit. It’s essential for staying sane, really.

Have your weekend activities changed in recent years?

For sure. A few years back, I was way more into the nightlife scene and staying out late. These days, I’m much more into “wholesome” stuff—like going for long walks or trying out new recipes. I think I’ve just started valuing my sleep a lot more!

Do you think two days are enough for a weekend?

Not really! You blink and suddenly it’s Sunday evening and the “Sunday scaries” start kicking in. I always feel like the weekend goes by ridiculously fast, especially if you’ve actually made plans and tried to relax a bit. A three-day weekend would honestly solve all my problems.

What are you planning to do next weekend?

I’ve actually signed up for a pottery class with a friend. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be rubbish at it, but it’ll be a laugh. It’s just nice to do something with my hands instead of staring at a screen all day.
